Comments Off on ACSO: Complaints Lead To Meth Lab Bust, 3 Arrests

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. — A team of officers with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office busted what they describe as an “active methamphetamine lab” in Powdersville Saturday night.

Investigators said complaints about possible drug activity led agents and deputies to a metal building at 126 Von Hollen Drive in Easley. Deputies said there was an active methamphetamine manufacturing operation in the building. They arrested three people at the scene.

Deputies arrested Joseph Daniel Ellenburg, 35, who lived at the location. They also arrested Magan Brooke Wright, 26,of Piedmont, and Timothy William McCurry, 38, of Greenville. All three are charged with manufacturing/trafficking drugs.

Ellenburg, Wright and McCurry are being held at the Anderson County Detention Center pending bond hearing.

Powdersville Fire Department and Anderson County HAZMAT responded to assist in decontamination of the lab and the three suspects.

Officers with CATCH (Criminal Apprehension Through Community Help), participated in the bust. The CATCH team is a group of Anderson County sheriff’s deputies from various divisions of the sheriff’s office, including investigations, narcotics and uniformed patrol. The team’s focus is to reduce street-level criminal activity and traffic violations.
