Anne Arundel County police have charged seven people in three separate drug busts last week that netted more than 20 pounds of marijuana in Annapolis, nearly $14,000 in methamphetamine in Severn, and more that $300 worth of heroin in Pasadena.

Detectives intercepted two separate suspicious packages at a sorting facility; one had two ounces of crystal methamphetamine destined for a Severn home and another had 21 bags of marijuana addressed to a local hotel, police said.

The detectives delivered the package containing crystal methamphetamine to the 1700 block of Sage Brook Court, where they said Jeffrey Crook accepted the package. Police searched the home and seized about $14,000 worth crystal methamphetamine from the home and the package. Crook 40, along with Jeffrey Harrington, 41, who lived at the home, were arrested and charged with importing into State 28 grams or more of methamphetamine, and related charges.

On the same day, police seized another suspicious package with 21 bags of marijuana from the sorting facility, and delivered it to the address of a local hotel, where they said Cynthia Lynn Hathaway, 47, was coming to pick it up. She was arrested.

Detectives then delivered the package to a location in the Annapolis area, where Charles Mcloud, 35, took the package.

Police later searched the home that Charles Mcloud’s shares with Linda Mcloud, 30, the 300 block of Forest Beach Road in Annapolis, where a search yielded eight mature marijuana plants, three grams of suspected cocaine, 15 guns, including an uzi machine gun and $8,000 in cash.

Hathaway and the Mclouds were charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and related charges. Police said the value of the package, which has a combined weight of 20.5 pounds of marijuana, plus the eight plants, totaled about $215,000.

On Thursday, police searched a home in the 7800 block of Huff Court in Pasadena, where $313 heroin, a Raven Arms .25 caliber handgun, and nearly $500 in cash were seized.

Police charged Johnny Pabon, 49, and Duewa Miller-Pabon, 37, of Huff Court, with Distribution, possession and possession with intent to distribute, and related charges.,0,290955.story
