ASHLAND, Ore. – State police pulled over a speeder on Wednesday morning – and found almost 15 pounds of crystal methamphetamine valued at $300,000.

Jamie Eugene Muniz, 26, of Sacramento, Calif., was jailed on $500,000 bail for investigation of Unlawful Possession, Distribution and Manufacture of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine.

State police stopped a northbound 2000 Toyota Solara with Oregon license plates around 8:17 a.m. Wednesday just north of the California border for a speed violation. Troopers later found 14.7 pounds of meth concealed in the vehicle and placed Muniz under arrest.
