Comments Off on Va. Beach businessman indicted on meth charges


A grand jury has indicted a local businessman on 17 criminal charges connected to methamphetamine distribution.

Loren Dude Linker, 49, is accused of using his home contracting business, Handyman Plus Inc., located on Virginia Beach Boulevard near Little Neck Road, to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine between January 2010 and this month, according to a grand jury indictment filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Linker has also been charged with arranging to receive shipments of methamphetamine through the mail from California, according to the indictment. In addition, the indictment charges him with using Handyman Plus Inc. and two separate Virginia Beach residences for manufacturing, distributing and using a controlled substance.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents arrested Linker on Friday morning, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia. He appeared in federal court Friday afternoon.
