WASHBURN — Three people face various drug charges, a day after Grainger County deputies seized another suspected methamphetamine lab.
Officers serving a search warrant last Wednesday at 159 Phipps Lane found meth and components of an inactive lab, along with a stolen .40-caliber pistol, according to the Grainger County Sheriff’s Department. The state Department of Children’s Services took a child found at the home into custody, and deputies arrested William C. Stevens, 44, on charges of felony meth possession, promotion of meth-making, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft.
Deputies arrested two more people today in the same case. Matthew Stevens, 27, and Melanie Browning, 21, each face charges of theft, meth possession, promotion of meth-making, possession of drug paraphernalia and child abuse and neglect.
