MEDFORD, Ore. — Oregon State Police say a Medford-area traffic stop on Interstate 5 led to the arrest of a Seattle, Wash., man after 17 pounds of methamphetamine was found in the car he was driving.

Sgt. Jim Johnson says the meth found after Sunday’s stop is worth more than $350,000.

Johnson says a trooper stopped the northbound car for a traffic violation.

Police say 27-year-old Francisco Hernandez-Figueroa was booked into the Jackson County Jail for investigation of unlawful possession, distribution and manufacture of a controlled substance. He was also detained on an immigration hold.
