Two Christiansburg residents were arrested Monday night after police discovered items used to make methamphetamine.

Christiansburg police were called to investigate a suspicious person near 190 Fisher Street just before 8 p.m., Major Dalton Reid said.

Officers began talking with George William Pritchard, 39, and discovered that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant, Reid said.

While Pritchard was taken into custody, officers talked with someone who lives at the home and noticed items that appeared to be used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, Reid said.

Pritchard and Michelle Renee Derrick, 43, were charged with possessing methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine, Reid said. Pritchard was also charged with larceny on the outstanding warrant.
