NEWARK — A Newark man was sentenced to seven years in prison after jurors found him guilty of making methamphetamine off Staddens Bridge Road.
Brian E. Holland, 40, last known address 651 Mount Vernon Road, Apt. A, was cooking methamphetamine on the 12200 block of Staddens Bridge Road on Nov. 6 when Licking County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the scene.
Deputies with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force found anhydrous ammonia tanks, tubing, batteries and empty ether cans in the area.
An odor of anhydrous ammonia was coming from where officer found Holland and two others, who were not charged, Licking County Assistant Prosecutor Brian Waltz said.
They also found a green Ford partially covered by a camouflage blanket.
Holland, represented by defense attorney Matthew Dawson, was found guilty Wednesday after a two-day trial. Licking County Common Pleas Court Judge Thomas Marcelain sentenced Holland to seven years in prison and fined him $7,500.
