KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — A Leesburg man was arrested for possession of meth Thursday after his house burned down.

Emergency responders arrived at a residence on Yvonna Street in Leesburg just after 1:30 a.m.

The home was fully engulfed when the Leesburg/ Plain Township Fire Department arrived.

Police say they found things outside the house associated with the production of methamphetamine. But fire investigators say the fire appears to be an accident.

Officers arrested Todd Douglas Metz, 37, at the scene. He was unharmed.

Investigators say the fire started in the garage.
