POLICE say they have found a possible methamphetamine lab in Rocky View after a house was raided.

Detective Senior Constable Dane Sheraton, of Rockhampton CIB, said police found a “non-operational laboratory” yesterday morning with equipment such as chemicals that could be used for the production of methamphetamine.

Detective Senior Constable Sheraton said police had charged a 46-year-old Rockhampton man with possession of a drug utensil and possessing a thing used in a drug offence.

The man previously lived at the Rocky View address.

However, he said police had not located the occupier of the house, who they believed was the main offender.

He said a small amount of methamphetamine was also found at the address.

Police from the Illicit Lab Investigation Team in Brisbane had examined the house.
