BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A drug ring in Oildale was busted by the Sheriff’s Department and now four people are under arrest.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Department said that after a three-month long investigation, deputies with the Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team were able to serve three search warrants in Oildale.
The sweep began around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
At the first home in the 3200 block of State Road, two people were arrested. Ricky Douglas Bailey, 46, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of methamphetamine, marijuana for sale and felony child endangerment.
Carrie Medlock, 33, was arrested on charges of methamphetamine for sale, transportation of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and felony child endangerment.
Deputies said the child was turned over to a family member.
Deputies said they found 60 grams of methamphetamine and one pound of marijuana at the home.
At the second home in the 1000 block Of Sheldon Drive one person was arrested.
Ted Cooper, 55, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana for sale, possession of methamphetamine, possession of ammunition paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Deputies said they found 7 grams of marijuana, 1 gram of methamphetamine and $2,268 in U.S. currency.
