ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. — An Anderson County man wanted in connection with a methamphetamine lab discovered last week was taken into custody on Tuesday.
A release from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said Jason Ramon Payne, 35, was captured and taken into custody. No other information was immediately available on the arrest.
Anderson County narcotics agents and officers said they raided an outbuilding on a property on Major Road in Belton last Wednesday. Officers arrested William Bradley Ballard, 28, of Honea Path, at the time of the raid. He was charged with manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Investigators had been looking for Payne in connection with the meth lab and two charges of violating probation.
Bail was set at $25,000 on the meth charges, according to the Anderson county Detention Center, but no bail was set on the probation violation charges. Payne is not eligible for bond release, deputies said.
