KEARNEY, Neb. — A Kearney woman faces a felony distribution charge after allegedly trying to shoplift merchandise from Target.
Mary Tillemans, 35, is charged in Buffalo County Court with felony distribution of methamphetamine and felony shoplifting of merchandise valued between $500 and $1,500.
According to a Kearney Police Department report, Tillemans was arrested Wednesday night after trying to leave a Target store with an estimated $1,049 in merchandise.
In a Target restroom, police also located a makeup bag containing 12 grams, or about one-half ounce, of suspected methamphetamine, a large number of plastic baggies and various other paraphernalia that police records say were linked to Tillemans.
Tillemans was being held at the Buffalo County Jail on 10 percent of a $20,000 bond.
If convicted, Tillemans faces three to 55 years in prison.
Tillemans is scheduled to appear in court in May.
