Comments Off on Ongoing investigation yields arrests in Silverton

Two Salem residents were arrested in Silverton Friday afternoon on charges of distribution and possession of methamphetamine.

The Silverton Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Pine Street just after 5 p.m. April 22.

Edward Finlay, 53, and his passenger, Judith Karla Copeland-Jones, 46, were taken to Marion County jail, where they each are being held on $510,000 bail.

According to police, the arrests were a result of an ongoing investigation and a team effort between Silverton detectives and officers from the Woodburn Police Department, as well as other agencies.
