Comments Off on Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents seize vehicle with $100,500 worth of methamphetamines

TUCSON, Ariz. — Border Patrol agents working a checkpoint in southeastern Arizona have seized methamphetamine worth more than $100,000.

Agents assigned to the Willcox Station were alerted Wednesday by a canine team about a suspicious vehicle on State Route 80.

Officials say agents searched the vehicle and found almost seven pounds of methamphetamines concealed in several hidden compartments inside the rocker panels.

The 21-year-old male driver from Mexico was arrested, but his name and hometown haven’t been released.

Authorities say the man will face prosecution for narcotics smuggling.–Meth-Seizure/
