A BUSSELTON man who allegedly operated a secret drug lab in an airport hangar has pleaded guilty to various charges in court today.
Stuart Hyder, 49, appeared in Perth’s District Court this morning and pleaded guilty to manufacturing methamphetamines, possession with intent to sell or supply, and possessing unlicensed firearms.
Police uncovered methamphetamine and drug-making equipment, as well as a collection of illegal weapons, including a 9mm sub-machinegun, 0.40 calibre pistol, silencers and ammunition, during a raid of a Jandakot airport hangar in November 2009.
A light aircraft owned by Mr Hyder in the hangar was also searched, with police allegedly unearthing drug paraphernalia.
Mr Hyder has been released on bail and will be sentenced in July.
