BLACKWELL — A Blackwell couple remained in the Kay County jail on $100,000 bail each after police found methamphetamine in a diaper bag and baby blanket, police said Friday.

Ashton Wayne Kelle, 23, and Brittany Ravan Sillers, 19, were arrested Thursday on drug and child abuse complaints, said Sgt. John Mitchell.

Kelle is accused of selling methamphetamine in front of a 5-month-old infant, Mitchell said.

Methamphetamine was found wrapped in the baby’s blankets and in the diaper bag, Mitchell said. The child was removed from the home.

Kelle, who is a drug court participant, has a history of burglary, theft and drug convictions.

Sillers, who was about to enter drug court, was to enter a plea Monday to a 2009 case in which she was charged with conspiracy to commit drug offense and possession of precursor with intent to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance, court records show.
