Comments Off on Guyton man out on bond arrested in meth lab bust

A Guyton man arrested in December on drug and weapon charges is back in custody after a joint operation by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office and the Chatham-Savannah Counternarcotics Team.

Richard Earl Driggers Jr., 38, was arrested this afternoon following a warrant search at a residence in the 100 block of Indica Place off Courthouse Road, sheriff’s spokesman David Ehsanipoor said.

“Deputies located a methamphetamine lab along with a quantity of methamphetamine at the residence,” Ehsanipoor said.

Driggers was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine, and possession of tools during the commission of a crime.

Driggers was currently out on bond from the December arrest, where he was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon along with other charges.

Driggers has been taken to the Effingham County jail.

Investigators say additional arrests are expected in this ongoing investigation.
