Comments Off on Career criminal sentenced on jail drug charges

Career criminal and serial prison escaper Arthur Taylor has been sentenced to seven years jail for conspiring to supply methamphetamine from inside prison.

Taylor, 55, and a second inmate who cannot be named, were found guilty in the High Court at Auckland in February of conspiring to supply the drug. They were found not guilty of the lesser charge of offering to supply after no drugs were found.

The pair appeared for sentencing in the High Court at Auckland this morning. Taylor’s co-offender was sentenced to six years and three months in jail.
