PHOENIX — A Tuba City woman has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for conspiring to sell methamphetamine on the Navajo Nation.

Prosecutors said Wednesday that 23-year-old Terri Raye Van Winkle received a 60-month prison term. She was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Phoenix.

Van Winkle pleaded guilty last August to charges of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine.

She was among 22 people arrested in 2009 during an undercover operation that targeted meth dealers in Tuba City and Flagstaff.

Prosecutors say 17 defendants have been sentenced so far, two are awaiting sentencing and trials are pending in the remaining three cases.–Drug-Dealer-Sentence/
