Comments Off on Kimberly man to stand trial in August in meth trafficking case

TWIN FALLS, Idaho — A 42-year-old Kimberly man has pleaded not guilty to several felony drug charges and is set to stand trial in a methamphetamine trafficking case in August.

The Times-News reports that Bernardo Benites entered not guilty pleas to four counts of trafficking methamphetamine in Twin Falls County’s 5th District Court on Monday.

Prosecutors say Idaho State Police officers and agents with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives found more than 115 grams of meth during a Feb. 15 search of Benites’ truck.

Prosecutors also allege that Benites sold meth to undercover informants. His trial is set for Aug. 16.–Meth-Trafficking-Trial/
