VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. (WOOD) – An eight month long investigation into the manufacturing and delivery of methamphetamine in Antwerp Township in Van Buren County is over.

The Van Buren County Narcotics Unit obtained a felony warrant for possession with the intent to deliver Methamphetamine for Gerald Parsons Jr. on Friday.

Detectives were able to arrest the 47-year-old Mattawan native in his home.

At the home, detectives found an active one pot meth lab vessel and a small amount of finished methamphetamine and marijuana, packaging materials and drug paraphernalia.

The detectives noted a vehicle parked outside and conducted another search. Meth related components, such as empty Sudafed blister packs, peeled lithium batteries, Rooto drain opener, tubing and fertilizer stakes were discovered.

A drug and laboratory disposal crew out of Plainwell was called to the scene to conduct a hazardous waste clean up.

Gerald Parsons Jr. was taken into custody. He is being held at the Van Buren County Jail
