BEAVERTON TWP. ā€” Gladwin Sheriff Deputies continue to investigate the death of a 51-year-old male, who was found in the charred remains of a shed after a Sunday afternoon fire.

At about 3:10 p.m. Sunday, the Beaverton Fire Department and Gladwin Sheriff Deputies dispatched to the 5200 block of W. Lang Road for a complaint of a shed fire. Behind the residence, in the remains of the shed, officers and firefighters located the deceased male.

The resident at the scene indicated the male was her husband.

The Fire Marshal from the Michigan State Police and investigators from the Gladwin Sheriff’s Office was summoned to the scene of the fire, along with a methamphetamine response team from the Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team.

Officers recovered suspected drugs, weapons and various items of evidence consistent with methamphetamine production.

The case remains under investigation.
