A Horseheads man was sentenced to prison last week in Schuyler County Court on a conviction of selling methamphetamine.

Gary Cook, 37, was sentenced Thursday to 1½ years in state prison, plus one year of post-release supervision, for his conviction of fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class D felony.

Cook admitted to selling the drug in Watkins Glen in August 2010, according to the Schuyler County District Attorney’s office.
