Comments Off on Two arrested after meth lab discovered at Pasco motel

Two Zephyrhills residents face drug charges in connection with a methamphetamine lab discovered in a Zephyrhills motel room Friday night, police said.

Vera Root, 45, was arrested Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

Michael Bracknell, 45, was arrested Monday on the same charges.

Officers were called to the Microtel Inn, 7839 Gall Blvd., late Friday to deal with disruptive guests. By the time they arrived, managers had forced the guests to leave.

In the room, an officer was overcome by chemical vapors, police said. The officer was taken to a local hospital and later released.

The fumes forced the evacuation of the motel until investigators determined it was safe for people to return.
