DURHAM — Three Durham residents face multiple drug charges after the Durham Sheriff’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigation served a search warrant Friday on an alleged methamphetamine manufacturing operation.

Two children, a 1-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy, were found during the raid, said Lt. Thomas Cote of the Durham Sheriff’s Office. The children were put through a decontamination procedure at the scene by first responders.

Emergency Medical Services determined the children were all right, and they are now in the custody of Child Protective Services, Cote said.

Three adults were charged in the raid at 810 South Mineral Springs Road, said Cote. All three people charged gave the Mineral Springs Road address as their place of residence.

Albert Carroll was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell, maintaining a drug dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carroll also was charged with misdemeanor child abuse.

Online jail records show he was also being held for extradition as a fugitive from another state.

Jail records showed he was being held in lieu of $1 million secured bond on most of the charges, but was being held without bond on the fugitive charge.

Also charged were Crystal Brandi White, who was jailed in lieu of $1,000,500 bond on charges of misdemeanor larceny, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession/distribution of a methamphetamine precursor, possession with intent to sell, maintaining a drug dwelling, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor child abuse.

He was jailed in lieu of $1 million bond as of Saturday night according to online jail records.

The relationships of the three adults to each other and/or to the children were not released.
