Indiana State Police allegedly found a methamphetamine lab Friday afternoon at a south-side Richmond home, but no one was at the residence.

ISP Trooper Jeremy Franklin received information about an operational meth lab at 1119 Parry St. After obtaining a search warrant, troopers dismantled the lab at about 2:45 p.m. Franklin was assisted by three other state police officers.

Troopers are in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant for the suspects, a state police spokesperson said.

Methamphetamine is a stimulant which can cause brain damage. The chemicals used to make labs are capable of causing fires and emitting deadly gases and producing hazardous toxic waste.
