A Sevierville mother and son face charges for manufacturing methamphetamine after officers discovered a young child, who should have been in their care, in the middle of the road.

According to a release, a driver called officers to tell them a small child was walking along on the Parkway near Hicks Drive.

Once the officer arrived, he discovered the 3-year-old boy lived at a residences on Hicks Drive.

After some investigation, the officer also discovered a shed next to the residence was being used to make meth. He found several materials used to make meth at the scene.

Officials arrested and charged both 20-year-old Bobby Brakebill and his mother 37-year-old Sherri Brakebilll with manufacture of methamphetamine.

Department of Children’s Services officials took both Sherri’s 14-year-old and 3-year-old son into protective custody. Sherri also faces charges for child endangerment.
