Comments Off on Lincoln Man Arrested After Pipe Bomb Found in Suspected Meth Lab

Lincoln, Ark. – Police have arrested a man after a pipe bomb was found in a Lincoln apartment. According to investigators, Ronnie Miller admitted to building the bomb with gun powder. Police also believe methamphetamine was being made in the house.

Lincoln Police and the Bentonville Bomb Squad were called to the apartment located in the 500 block of S. Main Street Monday afternoon after authorities received a tip about the bomb.

Lincoln police say Ronnie Miller confessed to making it.

“He was asked why he had the pipe bomb he says he makes them just for his just as a hobby,” says Assistant Chief of Police Tony Lee.

Lee says surrounding homes were evacuated. Police believe the house may also be a working meth lab. Materials used to make meth, as well as marijuana and needles were found inside the house.

Police believe meth had been made in the apartment in the last few days, and they believe miller was selling the drug and using it.

“A lot of needles used needles,” Lee says. “There was lots of pornography there was marijuana located on the residence marijuana pipes.”

The bomb squad detonated the pipe bomb without incident. Once the bomb was cleared the Northwest Arkansas Drug Task Force began sweeping the area and residents were able to return to their homes. Now Miller is in custody and police are looking for one more person in connection with the lab.

Miller is now being held at the Washington County Jail. He faces felony charges for possession and manufacturing of methamphetamine as well as criminal possession of a destructive device.
