NEW LEXINGTON — Officers seized chemicals related to manufacturing methamphetamine and laboratory supplies at two New Lexington homes Monday.

The seizure was made after Perry County sheriff’s deputies and New Lexington police officers executed search warrants at 315 E. Water St. and 195 E. Union St., regarding an investigation into the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Officers also seized an active methamphetamine lab at third location near Shawnee related to the New Lexington investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.

Six adults were removed from the New Lexington homes and face criminal charges once the investigation is completed, according to the sheriff’s office.

Also assisting with the investigation were agents from the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force.
