TAFT, Calif. — On Wednesday, around 7:05 a.m., the Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Taft Police Department, executed a narcotics search warrant in the 114 block of Buchanan Street.
As officer’s conducted their search of the home, they said they found 175 grams of methamphetamine, less than an ounce of marijuana, a hand grenade, $1,763 and evidence consistent with narcotic sales/trafficking.
The KCSO Bomb Squad seized the hand grenade.
The methamphetamine seized has an estimated street value of $17,500, according to the KCSO.
During the investigation, deputies said two adults were arrested.
Christopher Barry Soles, 39, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana (Less than one ounce) and possession of a military hand grenade.
Deanna Gail Spell, 38, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possess marijuana (Less than one ounce) and possessing military hand grenade.
