Comments Off on Drugs and Guns Land Two Highland Men in Jail

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s recently arrested two Highland men after finding methamphetamine, marijuana and other paraphernalia associated with the sale of narcotics, officials said.

Christopher Oliver, 35, and Joshua Montague, 24, both from Highland, were arrested Thursday.

Deputies said they were called at 9:40 p.m. by a resident in the 7900 block of Midhurst Drive in Highland reporting that there was some kind of commotion at the property. The witness told dispatchers the people involved were armed with handguns. A description of a car being used by the suspects was broadcast to responding deputies, sheriff’s officials said.

Deputies arrived in less than 2 minutes and spotted the suspect vehicle, which was leaving the area southbound on Midhurst, officials said. They stopped the vehicle and detained the men.

During a search of the vehicle, two loaded handguns were located inside a hidden compartment, sheriff’s officials said.

Both suspect’s were arrested, transported and booked into the Central Detention Center for drug and weapon charges. Oliver was found to be a parolee and he was also booked for parole violation.
