EDEN, GA —
Two people are facing several charges after a meth lab was found in Southern Effingham County.
A joint operation with the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office and Savannah-Chatham Narcotics Team led deputies to the lab in the 800 block of Dogwood Way.
40 year old James Moore Jr, and 26 year old Victoria Wise, both from Eden, were arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of tools during the commission of a crime, and unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine.
It all started with an investigative stop on I-16 in Chatham County. Agents located pseudoephedrine inside of their car and later located the meth lab at their home in Effingham County.
Moore and Wise were both being investigated by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Suppression Unit.
Wise is being held in the Chatham County Jail and Moore is being held in the Effingham County Jail.
Additional arrests are expected.
