NEWBURGH — A Monday early morning traffic stop in Warrick County led to the discovery of a methamphetamine lab and the arrests of two men.

According to a news release from the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Indiana 66 and Bell Road about 1 a.m. and discovered illegal drugs inside.

Newburgh resident Richard A. Roby, 44, and 45-year-old James R. Dupont, of Evansville, both face preliminary charges of manufacturing and possession of methamphetamine, possession of precursors and possession of marijuana.

Deputies also searched Roby’s home, located at 6933 Vanada Road, and found a working methamphetamine inside the residence, according to the release.

Roby faces additional preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.—ev_metharrest/
