Comments Off on Police bust meth lab at Fairview Heights motel

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS • Three people were charged Tuesday with methamphetamine manufacturing after police said they discovered a lab inside a cabin at the French Village Motel, 9811 West Illinois 161.

Katherine A. Brinkley, 22, of Waterloo; Melissa L. Charlton, 34, of Valmeyer; and John A. Fosnock, 21, of Cahokia were arrested early Monday morning at the motel, Fairview Heights police said.

Police saw a woman acting oddly, then went to her motel room, where they discovered a large amount of smoke. After additional investigation, police determined meth was being made inside the motel.

The three each are charged in St. Clair County Circuit Court with with aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials. They are being held on $100,000 bond.
