Comments Off on Deputies arrest Brandon man after finding meth lab

Hillsborough County deputies discovered a small methamphetamine lab Monday afternoon in Brandon.

They arrested Paul Morin, 41, of Brandon, on one count of possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture.

A drug complaint led deputies to 1103 Bristolwood St. at 3 p.m. Monday. After getting consent to search the house, deputies went to a back yard shed and discovered ingredients used to make methamphetamine, including ammonium nitrate, sodium chloride and sodium hydroxide, an arrest report states.

Deputies also found a two-liter bottle that was cooking; it contained the precursor chemicals to manufacture methamphetamine, according to the report.

Morin told investigators that he “was making methamphetamine and obtained the information from the internet,” the report states.
