Comments Off on La Salle man sentenced to 14 years in federal prison in methamphetamine case

DENVER — A La Salle man who pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison.

Prosecutors said Friday that 59-year-old Victor Rangel also was ordered at his sentencing hearing last month to serve five years of supervised release.

His plea agreement says that during an investigation into drug distribution in the Greeley area, a confidential informant for the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives had bought methamphetamine from Rangel. Investigators later found guns and methamphetamine at his home.–Methamphetamine-Sentence/
