KLAHOMA CITY — Police in OklahomaCity are still investigating the death of a 17-year-old girl whose naked body was found bruised and gagged.
Alina Fitzpatrick went missing Nov. 4 after she was dropped off at a northeast Oklahoma City apartment. Her body was found five days later.
Police Capt. Dexter Nelson tells The Oklahoma n that the cuts and bruises found on Fitzpatrick’s body weren’t enough to kill her.
The state medical examiner says Fitzpatrick’s cause of death was unknown but that the teen did have methamphetamine in her system. The medical examiner was unable to determine whether the teen’s death was accidental or a homicide.
Police Capt. Dexter Nelson tells The Oklahoman (http://is.gd/S8O3Rt ) that the cuts and bruises found on Fitzpatrick’s body weren’t enough to kill her. He says that even if the teen overdosed accidentally, those who dumped her body could be charged with a crime.
