A Rainsville couple recently were arrested after law enforcement found methamphetamine, guns and more than $18,000 at their home.
Joshua and Katie McCrary were taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
According to a news release from DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Drug Task Force, Fyffe Police Department and Rainsville Police Department served a search warrant Feb. 18 at the McCrarys’ residence.
Agents discovered and seized a small amount of methamphetamine, four rifles, three handguns, other drug paraphernalia and $18,400.00 in U.S. currency.
The McCrarys and another man were at the residence at the time, the release said.
Harris said the investigation in the case has been ongoing.
