DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — A 59-year-old woman and a 45-year-old woman were arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sherry Brown, 59, and Teresa Greene, 45, of DeFuniak Springs.

A search warrant was executed Feb. 24 at a residence on Smith Road. During the search, the Sheriff’s Office discovered a methamphetamine laboratory inside a cooler in one of the bedrooms. The items found inside it were consistent with ingredients and tools used to manufacture methamphetamine.

They also found a plastic container in a vehicle containing a white substance which field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

Greene was charged with one count of trafficking methamphetamine, a first-degree felony; one count of production of methamphetamine, a second-degree felony; one count of distribution of a listed chemical, a second-degree felony; and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Brown was charged with one count of trafficking methamphetamine, a first-degree felony; one count of distribution of a listed chemical, a second-degree felony; and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a first-degree misdemeanor.

They were booked into the Walton County Jail.
