A 73-year-old Monroe County is facing federal methamphetamine drug-dealing charges, according to federal authorities.

Samuel Samson Allen of Robin Hood Drive in the Kresgeville section of Polk Township was indicted Tuesday on a felony charge of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine, according to a news release from the U.S. Justice Department.

A grand jury in Scranton issued the indictment. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10 million.

Federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents based in Allentown investigated the case, which is assigned to Assistant U.S. Attorney William S. Houser.
