12 arrested on meth charges in Franklin and Tensas

An ongoing methamphetamines   investigation in Franklin and Tensas parishes has resulted in a dozen arrests in Franklin Parish on Monday.

During the continuing joint investigation by the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division (Monroe Field Office), Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office and Tensas Parish Sheriff’s Office into the March murder of Colby Fortenberry in Tensas Parish and the ensuing arrests of Robert Welch, Eunice Welch and Todd Crockett on narcotics-related charges this month, 12 more people have been arrested.

As a result of these cases, investigators uncovered a parishwide methamphetamine distribution network and arrest warrants were executed earlier today by Louisiana State Police and Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office, a news release from state police said.

Arrested were:

» Stacy Humphreys, 41, of Mangham. He is charged with three counts of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamines, one count of possession of a schedule II drug (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $65,000.

» Lea Ann Humphreys, 29, of Mangham, four counts of conspiracy to distribute schedule II CDS (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $75,000.

» Veronica Campbell, 39, of Wisner, two counts of possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamine) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $25,000.

» Stacey Henry, 36, of Winnsboro, six counts of conspiracy to distribute schedule II CDS (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $105,000.

» Sonja Roberts, 43, of Gilbert, five counts of possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $40,000

» Edward Rodgers Jr., 45, of Winnsboro), one count of possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $20,000.

» Daniel Guimbellot, 28, of Jigger, two counts of possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $25,000.

» Katina Boone, 29, of Jigger, two counts of conspiracy to distribute schedule II CDS (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $45,000.

» Gary Humphreys, 57, Baskin, eight counts of conspiracy to distribute schedule II CDS (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $135,000.

» Daniel Tacker, 36, of Baskin, one count of possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $20,000.

» Cynthia Thornton, 49, of Winnsboro, four counts of conspiracy to distribute schedule II CDS (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $75,000.

» Belinda Hale, 29, of Winnsboro, two counts of conspiracy to distribute schedule II CDS (methamphetamines) and one count of racketeering. Bond is $45,000.

The suspects were booked into the Franklin Parish Detention Center.

This investigation is on-going and additional arrests are expected, the release said.
