Comments Off on South San Francisco man with methamphetamine fires gun at sister’s boyfriend

A South San Francisco man was arrested Wednesday after police said he pulled out a gun and fired it at his sister’s boyfriend in a domestic dispute, all while he was in possession of methamphetamines.

Fealofai Laiafa, 31, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance after a three-way dispute turned violent, according to a news release from South San Francisco police. He was being held on $50,000 bail at the San Mateo County Jail, police said.

Police said Laiafa and his sister were with his sister’s boyfriend — the father of her baby — in the 300 block of Lux Avenue when an argument started, pitting Laiafa and his sister against the boyfriend. During the argument, the boyfriend went outside and broke Laiafa’s bedroom window.

Laiafa responded by drawing a pistol and firing it at the boyfriend’s feet, police said. A bullet went through the screen on the broken window, but the boyfriend was not injured, police said.

Once Laiafa was under arrest, police said they searched him and found methamphetamine on him.
