Comments Off on Madera Meth Trafficking House Discovered

man is behind bars facing felony drug charges after Agents with the Madera County Narcotic Enforcement Team (MADNET) discovered he was using his rental home as a stash house for Methamphetamine trafficking.

Juan Mendez, 31

31-year-old Juan Mendez (of Mexico) was taken into custody late Thursday night.

Inside his house (located in the city of Madera) Agents seized nearly 2 pounds of Methamphetamine (worth at least $11,000), a rifle, and thousands of dollars in US currency – much of which was found hidden in canisters as shown in the picture attached.

A several week-long investigation showed the home served as a stash house to store Methamphetamine trafficked into the United States from Mexico.

Based on evidence seized, agents believe this local ring is tied to a Drug Trafficking Organization. Agents contend that Methamphetamine manufactured in Mexico was transported across the border, and stored inside the house, and sold on the streets of Madera.

The exact location of the house is not being released at this time, because the case is ongoing.

Mendez, who also goes by the name, Juan Ruiz, remains jailed on an immigration hold.
