The charges stemmed from an investigation that dated back to February 1, 2012. The investigation culminated when the Narcotics Detectives seized approximately eight; five gallon buckets full of Methamphetamine cooking paraphernalia, chemicals and used precursors. The seized items included approximately 22 used plastic bottles with and without the hoses and filters each containing white chemical residue. Some of these bottles also still had the chemical reaction happening and as the Detectives were moving the bottles the reaction became unstable and began heating up and smoking. Twenty eight new and used (opened) lithium batteries, three used containers of Coleman Fuel still containing a small quantity of liquid, a one pound container of Lye, approximately two gallons of fertilizer and five used packs of Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 120 mg. (Each bottle was considered a cook and therefore an individual lab).

The Detectives contacted the Drug Enforcement Administration and they assisted by hiring and paying for a cleanup crew to clean up the lab site. The cost for cleaning up the lab site was approximately five-thousand dollars ($5,000.00).

Since February 1, 2012, the estimated street value of Methamphetamine produced by the group was three-hundred and fifty- seven thousand dollars ($357,000.00). This figure was biased on five-thousand and fifty grams of Methamphetamine (thirteen pounds) at sixty dollars per gram. The national average price for a gram of Methamphetamine is one-hundred dollars, which would make this group responsible for five-hundred and ninety-five thousand dollars ($595,000.00) worth of Methamphetamine since February 1, 2012.

The suspects admitted to the charges and agreed to cooperate with the investigation. While speaking to the suspects the Detectives discovered that approximately thirty other individuals who were involved in the purchase of precursors used in the manufacturing of the Methamphetamine. The Detectives have begun interviewing these individuals and locating additional illegal drugs and precursors for the Manufacture of Methamphetamine.
