Comments Off on 2 arrested after police find meth, loaded rifle and marijuana at Cass County residence

CASS COUNTY, MI — Police found methamphetamine, a loaded rifle, several cans of ammunition, marijuana and drug paraphernalia at a LaGrange Township home and a nearby barn Tuesday.
The items were discovered by Cass County Sheriff’s Office detectives after they executed a search warrant at a residence on O’keefe Road and Engle Street.
The two residents of the home — Angelique Lane, 44, and Kevin Abiney, 49 — were arrested, according to a Cass County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Abiney was arrested after a foot chase with police.
Lane was arraigned Wednesday on charges of possession of meth, possession of marijuana and maintaining a drug house. Abiney has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, various other meth-related charges, felon in possession of a firearm and marijuana-related charges.
Lane is being held at Cass County Jail on $40,000 cash or surety bond, while Abiney’s bond was set at $80,000.
The case remains under investigation.
