Comments Off on Ohio man accused of running meth lab while house-sitting

COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio –  An Ohio man was  being held in jail Monday for allegedly running a meth lab from a home he had  been asked to watch while the owners were on vacation.

John Joseph Piscitelli IV, 24, faces charges of illegal manufacture of drugs,  illegal assembly of chemicals and obstructing official business, the Akron Beacon Journal reported.

He was house-sitting in Coventry Township, just south of Akron, according to  police. When the owners returned home Saturday, they found what they suspected  were the components for manufacturing methamphetamine.

Summit County sheriff’s deputies investigated and confirmed the items were part of a meth  lab.

Piscitelli reportedly tried to run from the deputies who arrested him. He is  being held without bond in the Summit County Jail, according to sheriff’s  records.
