Athens — A narcotics search in Gun Barrel City Tuesday yielded two arrests, and a substantial amount of methamphamine.

Wesley Floyd Wadsworth, 49, was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (4 grams to 200 grams), a first-degree felony.

Wadsworth remained in custody Thursday, with bond set at $25,000. The charge carries a possible term of five years to 99 years, upon conviction.

Mary Elizabeth Carreno, 29, was booked on possession of less than one ounce of a controlled substance. She was released after posting $5,000 bond.

HCSO reports indicate that Narcotics Investigator Wick Gabbard obtained a search warrant from Justice of the Peace Milton Adams to search the residence at 114 Donna Dr. in the Lakeview Acres subdivision in Gun Barrel City.

Investigators Gabbard, Kay Langford, Brad Gray, John Long and Chad Walker were joined by Lt. David Faught and Capt. Bryan Tower in executing the warrant.

According to reports, the officers seized a quantity of suspected methamphamine inside the residence.

The substance will be submitted to the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Lab for analysis.
