Muskogee County Sheriff Charles Pearson said an arrest on Interstate 40 revealed 20 pounds of crystal methamphetamine worth about $1 million.

Pearson said City/County Drug Taskforce agent Jeff Gragg arrested Michael Salas, 24, Thursday afternoon on a stretch of I-40 near Webbers Falls.

During questioning, Gragg and his K9 partner, Apollo, discovered the drugs in the vehicle’s trunk.

Salas was booked into the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on complaints of trafficking illegal drugs and possession of controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
