Comments Off on Cops stopped Eastside couple’s meth-fueled crime spree

A Bothell couple accused of stealing from more than 70 people in a methamphetamine-fueled spree across the Eastside has been charged with identity theft.

King County prosecutors contend Arne and Crystal Rosander admitted to stealing mail from about 40 homes across the Eastside in the past year. According to charging documents, they’ve also admitted to more than a dozen car break-ins during the past nine months.

Redmond police contend the pair stole from 76 people living in 72 different homes. About half are alleged to have been victims of thefts, car prowls or burglaries.

“Most troubling is the indifference expressed to law enforcement officers following their arrest,” Deputy Prosecutor Peter Lewicki told the court.
